Philipp Plein's '80s Extravaganza

Milan Fashion Week was set ablaze with an explosion of fashion and an underground 80s vibe as Philipp Plein presented his Spring/Summer 2024 collection at the sensational PLEIN LAND showcase. The event, a grand celebration of exuberance and individuality, unfolded the Philipp Plein universe into a vibrant festival, painting a lively outlook for the upcoming fashion season.

Among the distinguished guests, who gave the event a special charm, was my namesake Fernanda Rigon – an influencer and fashion entrepreneur born in Brazil. She maintains a unique connection with the brand as one of the people fundamental to the growth of this luxury brand founded by the designer of the same name in 2004. A former partner of Philipp Plein, Fernanda is also the proud mother of her firstborn, Romeo, who proudly remained by her side. father during the event.

The PLEIN LAND show was a mesmerizing display of maximalism and audacity. The collection featured male and female looks, bold individuals who embrace life with courage and an appetite for excitement. Bold, vibrant designs conveyed a message of standing out and being unapologetically yourself, a message they carried with pride.

The Plein Woman, a celebration of color, sensuality and lightness, epitomized the spirit of the 80s, driven by the desire for fun and joy. On the other hand, the Plein Man was equally inspired by this aesthetic, wearing suits inspired by Pop Art, presenting a mix of elegance and boldness.

The event opened the Spring/Summer 2024 season with a carousel, transporting the public into a whirlwind of celebration and provocation. The 80s soundtrack perfectly complemented the essence of the collection, creating a captivating environment.

The rink transformed into a skating rink, encapsulating the vibrant spirit of the 80s. The looks, inspired by this dynamic era, featured scenes from iconic locations around the world. Philipp Plein's love of color was vividly reflected in maximalist silhouettes, designed to embrace and enhance the male and female forms.

In a sincere gesture, alongside his eldest son, Romeo, Philipp thanked everyone, highlighting that everyone is part of the Plein family. The show wasn't just a fashion display; it was an immersive experience that brought together music, fashion, art and culture in a unique celebration of the exciting rhythm of life.
