Roberto Cavalli: A Legacy of Passion and Audacity in Fashion

Farewell to the fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, the king of animal print and sensuality. "Excess happened." Among the protagonists of fashion over the past fifty years, Cavalli helped raise the Made in Italy flag worldwide.

Roberto Cavalli, the fiery designer who made sensuality his trademark, passed away at the age of 83 in his Florence after a long illness. One of Italy's longest-standing designers, although he had long retired from fashion, leaving room for the young to lead his eponymous brand.

Cavalli was a visionary who revolutionized the fashion world by introducing one of the most emblematic and feminine prints: the leopard print. His bold character was reflected in his clothes, which exuded sexual appeal and were often adorned with unique floral and animal prints.

In his illustrious career, Cavalli influenced generations of designers and helped put Italy at the forefront of the international fashion stage. I had the honor of attending the runway show of his brand during the recent Milan Fashion Week, a moment that filled me with pride and gratitude. Studying about Roberto Cavalli during my fashion college in Brazil gave me a deep understanding of his lasting impact on the fashion industry.

His legacy will live on through his brand, now overseen by a group and creatively directed by Fausto Puglisi. Everyone who works at Roberto Cavalli worldwide takes pride in the brand's legacy and has a passion for the brand, a hallmark of Roberto Cavalli. Everything is done with great passion, sensuality, and vigor. Cavalli leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire and influence fashion for generations to come. May his bold spirit and vision always remain present in the fashion world, and may he rest in peace, knowing that his name will continue to live on through his timeless work.
