A Culinary Evening at Chat Botté: A Michelin-Starred Experience in Geneva

During my stay in Switzerland, I had the honor of being invited to dine at the Chat Botté restaurant, located within the renowned Hotel Beau-Rivage in Geneva. As a guest of the hotel, I received an invitation to experience the sophisticated cuisine of Chef Mathieu Croze, an opportunity that transformed my visit into a memorable gastronomic experience.

The tasting menu presented to me was a true visual and gustatory celebration, with meticulously crafted dishes that resembled works of art. Highlights included "Le Brochet / Petit pois / Caviar" and "Le Saumon | Algue | Estragon," both perfectly paired with an exceptional champagne, carefully selected by the restaurant's attentive sommelier. The organization and precision observed in the kitchen reflected the high standard of quality for which Chat Botté is known.

In addition to enjoying exceptional dishes, I had the opportunity to visit the kitchen and briefly interact with Chef Mathieu Croze. His kindness and immense talent are as striking as his culinary creations. Following the departure of the renowned Chef Dominique Gauthier, Croze took the helm, bringing new inspiration to the dishes with influences from French cuisine and touches of Asian flavors.

The desserts, particularly the various chocolate options, were the highlight of the meal, ending the evening sublimely. The service at Chat Botté was impeccable, ensuring a luxurious and welcoming experience, typical of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

In summary, my experience at Chat Botté was extraordinary, establishing it as a must-visit gastronomic destination in Geneva for those seeking a high-level culinary experience. With exceptional dishes, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant offers a perfect combination of culinary innovation and refined tradition. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Geneva and looking to explore the best of contemporary French cuisine.
